Early in 2020, Victoria and NSW was ravaged by the most extreme bushfires in decades. Regions normally thriving with visitors and adventures were in a state of emergency and local businesses were struggling to survive. As part of Anaconda’s new TV and print campaign we decided to shoot up in the devastated region of Bright so that we could inject some money back into the area and focus on the amazing adventures still on offer.
Despite much of the high country region being closed off during the bushfires and thousand of acres of bushland damaged, incredibly there were still opportunities to experience the surrounding areas. With few tourists around and milder weather we were able to film and photograph the new Anaconda range for fishing, camping, mountain biking and hiking.
The township of Bright situated in the Ovens valley and nestled between the mountains is a beautiful adventure mecca and is the perfect base for a high country roadtrip. Normally a bustling action hub in Summer, the bushfires caused a lot of the small business to suffer dramatically and we were keen to film in the region so that we could inject money into the region and help support the local community
